FAQ

Do you ship?

Yes! We ship nationwide across New Zealand, covering both the North and South Islands. Wherever your pup or cat calls home, we've got them covered.

Do you ship to rural addresses?

Yes, we do! However, please keep in mind that rural deliveries can take an additional 2–3 days. If possible, we recommend shipping to a work address or a friend or family member's address in a non-rural area to help ensure your order arrives as quickly as possible.

How long will it take to get to me?

We send all of our cakes and treats via overnight courier. Delivery is typically 1–2 days within the South Island and 2–3 days to the North Island.

Please note that once your parcel has been collected by the courier, delivery times are unfortunately outside of our control.

We always ship your order on the dispatch date you select. For example, if you need your cake for the 16th, we recommend selecting the 13th as your shipping date. This allows plenty of time for your cake to arrive before your pup or kitty's special day.

We always recommend allowing a little extra time where possible, just in case there are any unexpected courier delays.

Do you ship to the North island?

Yes, we do! We proudly ship to the North Island, including Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Napier, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wellington, and everywhere in between.

No matter where your pup or kitty lives, we'll do our best to make sure they can celebrate their special day with a Pawsome Treats cake or treats!

How do I pick a date for my cake to be delivered?

We always ship your order on the dispatch date you select. For example, if you need your cake for the 16th, we recommend selecting the 13th as your shipping date. This allows plenty of time for your cake to arrive before your pup or kitty's special day.

How much cake can my dog/cat eat?

We recommend not letting your dog/cat eat the whole cake at once, our cakes can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and frozen for up to a month. You know your pet best!

How far in advanced should I order?

If you're local to Dunedin, New Zealand, we recommend ordering 1–2 days in advance, where possible.

If you're anywhere else in New Zealand, please allow 3–4 days for the courier to deliver your cake.

When placing your order, please select the date you'd like us to send your cake, not the date you need it. For example, if your celebration is on the 16th, choose the 13th as your shipping date to allow enough time for delivery.

How long will my dog/cat cake last?

Can my Animal really eat this?

Yes, absolutely! We know our products might look like they are made just for us humans, but every single Pawsome Treats product is made with completely pet-safe, natural, whole-food ingredients. Not only do they provide natural nutritional benefits, but they're also made with flavour combinations your dog or cat will go crazy for!

We create treats that are not only beautiful to look at but are also thoughtfully made with ingredients that may support your pet's wellbeing.

By incorporating fruits, vegetables and healthy proteins, we help to add variety to your pet's diet that may support a healthy, diverse gut microbiome.

What are your products made out of?

All of our products are handmade using high-quality, human-grade ingredients that are safe for your dog or cat to enjoy.

Rather than focusing solely on meat, we've created recipes that celebrate the goodness of fruits and vegetables, giving pets a delicious and exciting variety of flavours.

Some of our favourite combinations include peanut butter & pumpkin, banana & pumpkin, and carrot & peanut butter.

We also incorporate ingredients such as blueberries, broccoli, and strawberries throughout our range to add natural goodness and variety.

we create treats and celebration cakes that are not only fun and delicious but also offer something a little different for your furry family members.

What is the chocolate?

We know the "chocolate" on our cakes and cookies can be a little confusing! Dogs absolutely cannot eat real chocolate, it contains compounds that are toxic to them.

But don't worry, our "chocolate" is actually carob! Carob comes from an entirely different tree than the cocoa tree that produces chocolate for humans.

It has a naturally sweet, chocolate-like flavour, making it the perfect dog-safe alternative.

Unlike cocoa, carob contains no theobromine or caffeine, which are the substances that can cause chocolate poisoning in dogs.

Better yet, it's naturally packed with fibre, calcium, and antioxidants, making it a delicious and safe way for your pup to enjoy a chocolate-looking treat!

What size cake should i get?

We offer three cake sizes across our range: Small, Medium, and Large.

The best size depends on your dog's size and whether you're celebrating with friends!

Just one pup? Our Small cake is perfect for small to medium-sized dogs.

If you have a larger breed, we'd recommend the Medium.

Party with 2–3 dogs? The Medium cake is a great choice.

Party with 4–5 dogs? We'd recommend our Large cake so there's plenty for everyone to enjoy!

Of course, every dog is different, and some are bigger treat lovers than others! If you're unsure which size is best, feel free to get in touch we're always happy to help make your pup's celebration extra special.

Our cat cakes come in one perfect size, specially designed for your feline friend. It's the ideal size for one lucky kitty to enjoy, or for sharing with a few furry friends if they're celebrating together!
